Its sleek, white slipcase was printed on a MakerBot Replicator 2 Desktop 3D Printer. Inspired by the character Fan’s career as a fish tank diver, the MakerBot Studio designed the beautiful orange koi pictured above.
Design your own fish for a chance to win. Click “Enter Challenge” on the Challenge Page and upload your design between today, January 16 and February 7. Fish designs must be tagged #OnSuchAFullSea to be considered.
Award-winning author Chang-rae Lee will join our panel of judges to subjectively select the winner based on printability, beauty, and creativity. A Grand Prize winner will receive a signed collection of Chang-rae Lee’s books, three spools of MakerBot Filament, and have his or her creation featured on Thingiverse and displayed in the MakerBot Retail Stores. Two runners up will get a signed copy of the regular edition of On Such a Full Sea and have his or her creation featured on Thingiverse and displayed in the MakerBot Retail Stores.
