MakerBot News | Science Museum London to Sell MakerBot Products Nov 7 - 2013 | | by MakerBot Good news for our friends across the pond: the Science Museum Shop in London is now selling the MakerBot® Replicator® 2 Desktop 3D Printer and the MakerBot® Digitizer™ Desktop 3D Scanner. Located at Exhibition road, South Kensington, London, the Science Museum Shop is one of a select few retail locations in the UK where you can walk in and take home a MakerBot Replicator 2 the same day. Offering MakerBot Desktop 3D Printers at their shop isn’t the only way that Science Museum London is embracing 3D printing. 3D: printing the future, an exhibition exploring how innovators are using 3D printing, includes over 100 objects from the MakerBot® Thingiverse® 3D Design Community. Science Museum London’s first inventor-in-residence, Mark Champkins, has also created some fascinating designs such as this 3D printed gramophone. 3D: printing the future will be on display through February 2014. While you’re there, be sure to stop by the Science Museum Shop and pick up a MakerBot Replicator 2, or buy one at the Science Museum online store.
