MakerBot Digital Store | 3D Printed Collectibles from Uglydoll
| by MakerBot
When David Hovarth sketched the first Uglydoll character as a love letter to his long-distance flame Sun-Min Kim, he probably wasn’t planning on turning it into a multi-million dollar plush toy franchise. But that’s exactly what the now-married couple did. Their company, Pretty Ugly LLC, has won multiple awards and legions of diehard fans for its positive message and quirky characters.
A 3D Printable Uglyverse
Now, MakerBot has partnered with Uglydoll to bring their imaginative oddballs to the MakerBot Digital Store. Fan favorites Babo, Wage, Ice-Bat, and OX are now available for download as 3D printable, posable figures. Later this summer, MakerBot will release 3D printable environments, including a unique Uglydoll tour bus so you can take your favorite characters with you on vacation.

MakerBot President Jenny Lawton is thrilled to make Uglydoll characters available to MakerBot customers.
“We are so excited to offer Uglydoll 3D printed content in the MakerBot Digital Store,” said Lawton. “The story behind the creation of the Uglydoll characters by David Horvath and Sun-Min Kim showcases how creativity can positively impact lives.”
Hovarth echoed Lawton’s enthusiasm about the collaboration. “Sun-Min and I have been fans of 3D printing for a while. Taking Uglydoll into the world of 3D printing seems like a natural extension for our Uglydoll characters.”
