Earlier this year, we introduced MakerBot Desktop, a complete, free 3D printing solution for discovering, managing, and sharing your 3D prints.
We incorporated the features of our popular MakerBot MakerWare into the MakerBot Desktop app, and added features like a personal MakerBot Cloud Library, the ability to monitor, pause, or cancel a print from your computer, and Explore, Store, and Learn sections.
We began the rollout of the MakerBot Desktop app with our Fifth Generation MakerBot Replicator 3D Printers. Now, with this latest release, we’ve added an important improvement, and support for even more MakerBot devices.

With MakerBot Desktop 3.2.1, we’ve added support for these printers:
–MakerBot Replicator Desktop 3D Printer (Original)
–MakerBot Replicator 2 Desktop 3D Printer
–MakerBot Replicator 2X Experimental 3D Printer
When you install MakerBot Desktop 3.2.1, you’ll also be provided with the option to download and install MakerBot MakerWare for Digitizer.
Smarter Filament Unloading and More
The newest release of MakerBot Desktop is designed to help your Fifth Generation MakerBot Replicator 3D Printer run more smoothly. We’ve improved filament unloading to help keep your MakerBot Replicator Smart Extruder running reliably.
We’ve also added the ability to take a picture of your print in progress from the print monitor panel.
