In June, we announced a proposed merger with Stratasys, Ltd. (NASDAQ: SSYS), the leader in 3D printing and additive manufacturing. Today, MakerBot is excited to announce that the merger has been completed and MakerBot is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Stratasys.
Going forward, what does this mean?
MakerBot is still MakerBot. MakerBot’s mission to be the global leader in the desktop 3D printing industry by putting a MakerBot on the desk of every engineer, architect, industrial designer, educator, student and in the home, remains the same. MakerBot will continue to be headquartered and manufactured in Brooklyn, New York. MakerBot is growing and hiring. MakerBot is now a public company, part of Stratasys, Ltd. (NASDAQ: SSYS).
