Quickly realize your ideas with easy concept models

Concept models are like 3D sketches for your products. They allow you to better understand the repercussions of design decisions and share early iterations with your teammates. Desktop 3D printers allow you to create quick concept models, get feedback and make quick and cost-effective iterations all in the course of hours and days.

Produce functional products for real-world testing

Take your design to the next level by 3D printing your parts with real production materials and a high degree of dimensional accuracy. 3D print some or all of the components of your assembly, then conduct user testing, environmental testing, or torture testing to ensure your product performs as expected.

Testing icon

Create custom tools and test rigs to put your products through their paces

Product testing demands its own innovation and engineering. Test engineers must often create custom rigs that can put products through their paces - reaching a lifetime of wear in days, weeks, or months.
Design custom tools, rigs, fixtures, and anything else you could need to do thorough product testing and 3D print out the components for assembly or instant use. Need to make a change? Just modify your design and print a new one in as little as a few hours.

STARRY

“With METHOD we’re taking our ideas on Monday morning and seeing what they look like on Monday afternoon or Monday Evening."

Don Lehman is Head of Product Design at Starry - a New York City-based company that is redefining what it means to be an internet service provider. Two of the core elements of the Starry solution are hardware products - one a customer box that looks more like a sculpture than a modem - and two an antenna for the rooftop of large residential buildings. Starry is able to prototype and test both using METHOD and its selection of materials.

Smart Design

“If we didn’t have the METHOD I would have to plan out my prints like everyone else who is using the industrial machine whereas the METHOD is a quick print out that we can just pump out”

Albert Kwak is an industrial designer at Smart Design who spends most of his time developing products for OXO. As a designer at one of the big NYC industrial design firms he’s no stranger to 3D printers - they have many industrial machines in the workshop. With METHOD in their design bay, Albert and his colleague Brandon Rodriguez are able to skip the cue for the industrial machines and get industrial-level prototypes in hours instead of days.
