Vote MakerBot for SXSWedu 2017!
Earlier in March, MakerBot held a panel about teaching startup culture in schools at SXSWedu 2016. We’re excited to have been placed on the Panel Picker to return to SXSWedu 2017, but need your vote to get us there.
MakerBot’s Education Manager Drew Lentz — as well as representatives from Autodesk Education Experiences and Augment, an augmented reality marketing company — will co-lead the proposed panel. Titled “Going 3D: Bringing Together the 3D Technologies,” the talk will focus on the skills needed to incorporate 3D designing, 3D printing and augmented reality in the classroom to prepare students for the jobs of the future.
The panel members will discuss what value these technologies can bring to students and educators. Their talk will also be focused on how these tools can be used to solve problems from a new perspective in addition to how 3D technology can be combined with current lesson plans to provide the best learning experience.
“As more exciting technology makes its way into the classroom, the need for educational collaboration and support is growing as well. I am excited to continue this conversation with Augment and Autodesk Education Experiences at SXSWedu in 2017,” Lentz says.
