Products reach “End of Life” due to reasons such as changes in market demand, availability of parts, or being replaced by newer products. This document describes the MakerBot Product End Of Life Policy and Process. The intent of this process is to assist customers with planning their parts inventory and to communicate the remaining service options for products nearing the end of their availability and support.
The process consists of three steps:
1. End of Product Sales (“Product EOS”): The Product EOS date is the date after which no additional orders for the product will be accepted by MakerBot. This document will be updated by MakerBot prior to discontinuation of sales of a product and will specify the Product EOS date for a product. Replacement parts, spares and consumables will continue to be available for sale after the Product EOS date for a period lasting, at least until the Product EOSL date.
2. End of Product Support (“Product EOSL”): The Product EOSL date is the date on which general support for the product will no longer be offered by MakerBot. Although every effort will be made to service products as long as feasible, Product EOSL may be required due to the unavailability of replacement parts. The Product EOSL will not affect MakerCare protection plans still in effect as of the Product EOSL date.
3. End of Software Support (“Software EOSL”): The Software EOSL date is the date on which the product will no longer be updated in new releases of MakerBot software.

This policy is effective for products reaching Product EOS after 09/01/2018.
