Known Issues

  • Apple OSX Update 10.12.4 introduced a graphics issue which causes the build plate not to render on computers with certain Intel Iris graphics cards. Apple has released OSX Update 10.12.5 which should resolve the issue.
  • It is possible to get in a state where Chamber Heater Temperature and Build Plate Temperature are selectable options for printers not equipped with a heated chamber or build plate. If enabled on these printers, these settings will be ignored.
  • Changing Build Plate Temperature or Chamber Heater Temperature settings may cause Project files to not open.
  • Loading saved .print files will include customized settings previously set but will not display them in the Print Settings menu.
  • If there are issues selecting models while using an external display, restarting the app will resolve this problem.
  • If you are not seeing your USB connected printer, restart MakerBot Print and your printer.
  • Rendering of utilities panel when printer loses connection to the computer.
  • Display error (WebGL context loss) when plugging a computer into certain external displays
  • A windows user name containing non ASCII characters are not supported
  • When switching between two different printers of the same model (e.g. 2 different MakerBot Replicator+’s), the application will not reslice the model, resulting in issues if you have two different extruder models. We recommend you always reslice when switching between different printers.
  • Intermittent crashes when slicing large files
  • Project files saved from Windows will not open properly on Mac
