Kids know there’s more than one way to play, and that’s why we’re bringing 3D printing into the mix. Educational and downright fun, this class lets kids play while learning and designing in 3D thanks to easy to use software. A MakerBot instructor will help children make individual 3D prints on our very own MakerBot Replicator Desktop 3D Printer. Great for children ages 7 to 14, this fun class offers an interactive introduction to 3D design and printing. A MakerBot Retail Operator will guide students through the process of creating their own 3D printed Halloween mask. Once designed, kids will print the masks on a MakerBot Replicator Desktop 3D Printer.

Made By Me 3D – Halloween Headband (Boston)

For October’s “Made By Me” 3D workshop, you’ll learn to design and 3D print the perfect Halloween costume accessory! A MakerBot Retail Operator will guide you through the process of making a fun headband to go along with your specific Halloween costume. Once completed, you’ll print your headband on a MakerBot Replicator Desktop 3D Printer.

Leslie Perry is the Technology Curriculum Leader at Whitby School, a Pre-K through 8th grade Montessori school in Greenwich, CT and is a big proponent of 3D printing in the classroom. Leslie’s interactive presentation, How to Incorporate 3D Printing In Your Curriculum, will discuss recent and upcoming 3D design and printing units at Whitby and challenge attendees to imagine the ways their teaching and lessons would change if they woke up tomorrow and the only printers that existed were 3D printers. MakerBot Study Hall – Greenwich CT – Bring Your School and Club Projects to Life!

MakerBot’s Greenwich retail store is happy to offer a place for students to work on their class or club projects after school! In our “Study Hall” students will be able to use our Replicator Desktop 3D Printers to bring their school and club projects to life. With the expertise of our Retail Operators – students will learn how to become ‘makers’ in no time.
Print time is limited to 5 hours, at a MakerBot Study Hall exclusive rate of $5 per half hour. Access is first come, first served and based on availability.
