The call is finally answered! Parametric Lens Cap by hmeyer

Probably unknown to valiant Thingiverse modeler hmeyer, I had issued a challenge months ago that asked for exactly what he’s delivered.  Although there were some earlier attempts, this is really the design that’s finally hit it on the head.  This is a generic, parametric lens cap that people will actually use on a vast array of lenses.  Go ahead and print one out for your favorite, cap-less lens.  And then go ahead and print out a parameterized lens cap holder to go with it!

If you’re giving the set as a gift, measure your favorite photographers’ lenses very carefully.  They can get cranky about their photo gear.  Then, you’ll have 1/4 of Hannukkah covered!  Or, you know…Christmas.

Press fit cap for my lens - should work for any other camera as well (when properly parameterized).

A (parametric) buckle that you can attach to your camera strap, which lets you (hopefully) stop losing your lens cap. The STL is sized for a 58mm lens cap, and a ~40mm strap width. The printing layers make for a great friction catch for the lens cap. But there's a designed-in lip overhang to make it a little more aggressive.
