Black Friday Hint: sign up for the newsletter!
Step away from the leftovers. Black Friday is happening, and MakerBot is not going to be left behind…not this time.
Something big is going to drop on Friday, and there’s only one way to find out about it: by signing up for the MakerBot Industries newsletter. If you have already signed up for the newsletter, you will receive the notice…but if I were you I’d check to make sure your newsletter subscription is up to date by updating your details after following the link.
Not only is the MakerBot Newsletter one of the finest missives of its type, including clever jokes and brightly-colored photos of super-hip MakerBotsters, but it also often includes a special sale code. And this Friday’s letter will be no exception…in fact, it will be one of the best deals we’ve ever offered. Ever.
If you miss out on this limited time deal while trapped in a tryptophan-induced coma, you will regret it for the rest of your life. Well, potentially. Do you want to take that risk?

Technically this should be a Cyber Monday Deal…

Nice, can’t wait to see what shows up in my Inbox on Friday!
A couple typos on the signup form:
* Sculprture
* Coding/Scropting
graphmastur
I love the typos. I code, but I don’t think I do any Scropting.

Scropting: Coding a bash script while crop dusting.

Scropting definitely should be a word, and whatever it describes, I want to try it.

That looks kind of disgusting, but kind of really meatily tempting…

Just signed up, hope I still get the email!
John
that sandwich was definitely scropted.

Tried to sign up – got no confirmation email.

Is it too late to get the Friday email?
Matt
heh. “scropting” sounds like such a powerful, anglo-saxon word. Wish I had access to OED online still from grad school so I could find if it has ever been used, perhaps for some sort of violent harvest or playful scuffling. In any case, thanks to someone who emailed me from the UK Wednesday night for pointing out that typo: it has been corrected on the form for over a day now.
Speaking of today and such, I’ve had some inquiries about whether signing up for the newsletter now will get them the newsletter deal. Of course! I’ve been sending the newsletter to each batch of folks signing up all day — so you’ll get your copy of the newsletter an hour or so after posting.

… hoping Matt’s still monitoring for us recent additions to the list, and can send us our newsletters before it’s too late…
Can anyone alleviate anxiety by at least sharing info about how time-sensitive the mystery deal is?
Thanks!

This should be a Cyber Monday deal!
I here looking for one for Monday. Can you resend the mailing out and/or give a deal for a kit for Monday?
Joe Larson
Welp, got the news a bit late. Was too busy yesterday raking leaves for the kids to jump in. Now I may never know what the deal was. I’m already regretting it. This is the start of the rest of my life.

So as a new potential customer, I am trying to decide between an Ultimaker or Thing-O-Matic. With the nice discount being offered in the newsletter, my mind has been made up for the Thing-O-Matic. Unfortunately, as a new potential customer, I would not have signed up for the newsletter in advanced, thus not known about the deal in advanced. Only upon coming to this blog posting on Saturday versus Friday do we even know of the sale. Why in the world would you tell folks who already have a printer of a sell on a new printer and not a new customer? I have signed up for the newsletter, but of course, a day late and $300 dollars short. Go figure
Matt
Hey folks, I have been sending out the newsletter to new subscribers who haven’t yet received it a few times each day. The deal runs until the end of CyberMonday, and then that’s probably it.
