Awesome, Autodesk!

AutoDesk Maya shellNode plug-in

Autodesk, the developer of Maya and 3DS Max, is helping out the 99% with their improved Assistance Program.

The program has always been available to students and educators, but they’ve expanded it to include veterans, and unemployed architects, engineers and designers.

Awesome, Autodesk!

I love Autodesk software! I posted the other day on facebook how I want to start a blog on how much I love my Makerbot and Autodesk Inventor. This way of getting their software out makes me want to purchase their programs; it gets people familiar with their software, builds an awesome relationship by showing people how awesome their product is (for free), and it also works as advertisment because people will spread the word. I will buy autodesk software one day because they have me sold.

Not only did they open the software up to Vets and unemployed, I just noticed they have adopted STEAM (Science Tech Engineering ARTS and Math) over STEM in their Educational Workshop curriculum ….

I am very pleased to see them pick up STEAM.
Beats the heck out of STEM.

This is great to hear. I love Autodesk products too. Big fan of AutoCAD as well as 3DS Max. Sending error reports and waiting to see if the same errors would occur in the next version that you had to pay to upgrade to made me less inclined to participate in error reporting.

I believe this would really benefit everyone as it will make the user experience a lot more refined that it already is for some products.
