New York Notables
We might have started with Stephen Colbert, but we didn’t stop there. Since last week, our artist-in-residence Jonathan Monaghan has been busy scanning artists, bloggers, hackers, musicians, comedians and our friends — whoever we find interesting or notable and could visit our offices.
If you want to have a look to see who we’ve been scanning, have a look at the Thingiverse user “Friends.” We’ll be adding to this over the course of the next few weeks, and then, June 30th we’ll be having a party to show off what we’ve done.
This is going to be part art show, part party — we’ll be printing busts of our New York Notables for visitors to take home. So make sure to pencil in a visit to our new workshop for the evening of Thursday June 30th — you won’t want to miss this one.

Whoa I was just flipping out about all the people flooding onto thingiverse! Are you calling these people things because they are on Thingiverse THE UNIVERSE OF THINGS!

If they are notable maybe you should let us uniformed people know who these people are. I only know that is Cory since he posted on BB about it. I second elspeth’s request for more info on the scanner.

It’s 22,000 dollars… And 10 percent of that cost a month to rent it…
