Spreading the word, one whistle at a time
Josef Průša is giving a talk at the TedX event in Prague on November 20th. You may recognize his name from his contributions to the development of the next generation RepRap printer, the Mendel. Josef has been working to simplify the parts and reduce the print time for the parts necessary to create a RepRap printer. In order to demonstrate the possibilities of DIY 3D printing, Josef is looking to give away 300 printed whistles at this event.
As of yesterday, Josef still has 250 more whistles to go. Can you help Josef spread the word by sending him some whistles to give away?

We may contribute but he should share with us his modified version of the whistle! I too had to remove the handle because it had too much detail and my Makerbot went crazy while trying to print it. Also I admit that the design of the whistle is very cool and it sounds really loud but I couldn’t get the small ball inside the whistle to actually bounce while blowing into it (was that what she said?).
Anyway, one of these days I am going to print Josep’s version of Mendel for sure, I saw the other day someone grouped the parts so it could be printed easily on Makerbot.

Here is the file I use for printing my whistles, it is a derivative of Basic whistle by Zach.
