MakerBot Charm Challenge for Maker Faire
We’re furiously prepping for a legendary Maker Faire here in New York in less than a week. Once we get the Bot-farm up and running, we’ll have a small army of MakerBots printing things out all day long.
Submit your charm designs by Wednesday, September 22nd, and we will consider printing them at Maker Faire! We’re looking for things that are quick to print that we can awe visitors with.
At the BotCave MakerBots are already hard at work printing things like this butterfly ornament designed by bpijls to give away at Maker Faire this weekend.
So get to work on a cool design for Maker Faire, and your creation could be given away at our booth!

I’m glad you like the butterfly. I always have tons of these to give away after skeinforge testing sessions. You might also want to take a look at my fishy That’s also an item my friends now have in abundance.

Where should we upload them to? Thingiverse with a certain tag?

Not especially pretty, but my thumb nut prints very nice and feels good to hold. (It’s designed for fingers!) The 5 sided one is a fairly fast print out of the ones posted.
Also, again not pretty, but very functional and a quite fast print is my wire clip.
Actually, if you’ve got the abp running anyway, I’d be tempted to devote a machine to churning out assorted beco blocks (balance male and female pieces if possible…)
