ReplicatorG 0012 available: now featuring thermistor tuning

Some folks have been having difficulty changing the lookup table the extruder uses to interpret the temperature data generated by the thermistor.  Tweaking the settings has traditionally been a laborious, multi-step process.  I’ve whipped up a new version of ReplicatorG and the extruder firmware to simplify thermistor tuning.

There’s a new page on the wiki that discusses how to adjust the thermistor settings, and gives some reasonable values to start with.

As always, you can find links to the latest version at: http://replicat.org/download

    Hi Nicolas,

Are you sure the firmware on the extruder has been updated? When you start ReplicatorG, make sure that it gives the extruder firmware version as v1.8. You can only tune parameters with the new firmware.

I uodate it 2 times and RepG said it is done. But When starting RepG I have that message :

    Reset.
    Motherboard firmware v1.6
    Error: payload not big enough.
    Error: payload not big enough.

    Extruder board: Null version reported!

    Ready to print.

I have so many probleme with that board…maybe it is defect ?
I try so many thing to make it working…..
See my blog for more info :-(

The only thing I didn’t try is to push the bootloader…

I dont think you can update the extruder in repG 12. If you go back to repG 10 and edit the firmware.xml file to include v1.8 (just copypasta), you can upgrade the extruder.

We’ve been having problems with the heated build platform also. Ever since the repg/1.8 update, the build platform reads 112C, and wont heat.
