Makerbot MakeIn at CrashSpaceLA

MAKERBOTIN

CrashSpace (the new Los Angeles hackerspace) is hosting a Makerbot Make-In starting noon Sunday Dec 27th and continuing on a few of the following days. This is our first event. We will be building several Makerbots from early mechanical up through first prints (hopefully!!)
If you have a bot (finished or unfinished), come on by and build!

Exact continuance days and times depends on response. Notices will be posted to http://groups.google.com/group/crashspace and http://groups.google.com/group/lamakerbot

Jordan, his 15 year old brother Noah, and I (the Dad) went on Monday and had a blast meeting everybody that had a troubleshooting problem or were building new units. Kudos to the organizers!

Incidentally, Noah goes to High Tech High L.A. in the Valley (at the Birmingham High campus) and I’ll see if we can get MakerBots on the curriculum. They have a great robotics program with large CNC devices. They are always looking for mentors.

    Hi Bre,

we met at 26c3, talking about the 3D scanner and using UV-LEDs for hardening plastics. I think I gave you a non working mail address (non working in the sense, that my mailserver eats mail incomming on the domain I used). If it was something like … @draxit.de please replace the domain with @datenwolf.net
