MakerBot Global-A-Go-Go

Ryan, Chief of Operations @ MakerBot signing in! It’s a pleasure to meet you.
In the past 30 days, I’ve been blown away by the excitement and enthusiasm MakerBot has generated worldwide. I thought it would be neat to put together a map showing all the locations across the globe that we’ve shipped to so far. Everyone here at MakerBot would like to send a heartfelt “thank you!” to all who have made this possible. We’re all excited to fill up this map even more!

I count 20 US states on this map– with the first shipment consisting of 21 MakerBots, has there been another batch of orders?

Ryan – Just looking at your map I notice that Minnesota was not marked. I believe that the first 2 shipments from MakerBot went to me in Minnesota or is the map just for where you have shipped machines. Because that was not real plain in your posting…

Oh, you do ship to Australia? AWESOME.
Time to get some makerbot action going on.

@Fletcher Thompson,
I’m in Sydney and I see you’re in Wollongong. I plan to document the build of my cupcake CNC on my website.

Send me an email if you want to come see it when it’s finished.

Hi, I’m in Sydney too and I just ordered the deluxe kit! Oh sweet I can’t wait to create so many things, and in ABS, It’s almost mind-numbing thinking of all the cool stuff!!! I actually love that it comes in kit form, you get the joy of building up your own machine, awesome!

Hi Peter Pein,
I live in Sydney as well and I am also looking at ordering in one of these units. Can you please advise as to what the manufacturer has given you as a potential delivery time?
As the USA is on 110V AC and we are on 220/240V 50Hz AC do you know if you will need to buy a transformer to go with the unit?
Regards,
Stan

Hi Stan,
Sorry I didn’t pick this question up earlier, the package was shipped within the day of ordering, and with USPS Priority mail it takes about a week or so. I bought the deluxe kit with the power supply, which is 110V/240V switchable, so no need for a transformer. I hope this info helps, even if it is a tad late
The machine works great! If you haven’t already ordered you should also get the heated platform (which I’ve just ordered) as this will help printing larger parts.
Cheers,
Peter
